Everything is fine here. Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, but I have
only just heard from the Security Company today - they have been having problems
with their email addresses. I have also been very busy with the selection process
for The Weasel Project. As you know, the deadline for applications has passed,
but the quality of applicants was so high that we have not yet selected all the
successful candidates. However, you will be pleased to know that we have a shortlist
of 20 applicants and you are one of them! Stilnørt was very impressed
by your application, but I did not tell him that I knew you. We have decided
that all 20 applicants on the list will have to go through a further selection
process. This requires the applicants to draw a large picture of a weasel, stoat
or ferret on a piece of paper or card and to sign and date it. The applicant
will then need to hold the signed picture whilst having their photograph taken
and all the pictures will be judged by the selection panel, including Stilnørt
and myself. But don't worry, I just KNOW you will get through!
My telephone number is as already advised and also as shown on The Weasel Project
application form - are you sure that you are using the correct code from your
country to Sweden? I will let you know as soon as I have paid the fee to the
security company, which should be very soon.
If you could make a start on your drawing, I would be grateful - the company

I sent the money to the Security Company yesterday, so they should receive it
today or tomorrow.
You don't need to complete the form again - the next stage in the selection process
for The Weasel Project requires you to to draw a picture of a weasel, stoat or
ferret on a large (at least 60cm x 30cm) piece of paper or card and to sign and
date it. Then you will need to hold the signed picture whilst having your photograph
taken and then send the photograph of you holding the signed picture to me and
it will be judged by the selection panel.

Great to hear from you -
I was afraid that we had lost contact and 'our thing' was not going to be finalised.
I am very sorry to hear that you have been sick and I hope that you are now better.
Thank you for the photograph of the drawing of the mustelids. You will not believe
the difficulty I have had in persuading my brother to extend the deadline to
the selection process and I have to say, I was rather disappointed by your effort.
As it stands, I am certain that your drawing WILL NOT secure a position on the
Weasel Project, for the following reasons:
(1) My email 31 July clearly stated 'This requires the applicants to draw
a large picture of a weasel, stoat OR ferret on a piece of paper or card and
to sign
and date it'. You have drawn all three, rather than just one, and, although you
have signed the drawing, you have not dated it.
(2) Your drawings are only in the top half of the page - the whole point of doing
a LARGE drawing is to fill the page!
(3) Your face is almost completely covered by the piece of paper - but the judges
need to see your face.
It is very obvious that you 'just snapped it in a hurry last night', like you
said. I am afraid that if you are serious about joining the Weasel Project, then
you will need to have a little more commitment and motivation. I would therefore
be grateful if you would make the effort to send me a better photograph of a
drawing of ONE animal that FILLS THE PAGE, that is both SIGNED and DATED and
that shows your WHOLE FACE.
I really do not know what I am going to tell my brother but I will somehow have
to persuade him to extend the deadline even further.
With regard to the security company, I sent the money by MoneyGrab but they have
now advised me that they cannot accept that and I must send it by Western Onion.
I cancelled the MoneyGrab transfer at the weekend and I am now trying to locate
a Western Onion agent close to my offices. When I find one, I will send the money,
yet again, to the security company.
Please hurry with the new photograph - I am a very busy man and I want 'our thing'
finalised and for you to be an International Representative of the Weasel Project
as soon as possible.
