My Dearest Ray!

I called you a silly priest because you said that the 'scanned check' I sent you could not be cashed, even though I sent your secretary the actual check! I am sorry if you are offended...

I do not understand when you say that 'you are not part of this again'. What do you mean? I suggest that you find a little Christian faith in your heart! Should I come to London? Please advise...

You have to come to london as soon as possible. While coming please you have to come with the attorneys fee and the cost for the letter of administration which would be paid at the court. Let me have your flight schedule as soon as you are ready to come.

Dearest Ray

Your email today seems rather cold and uncaring. I am trying my best to sort this out professionally and I would appreciate it if you would do the same.

Obviously it will be difficult for me to fly to London over the Christmas period and as a catholic priest you probably have quite a few things to do yourself. I also need a few queries answering:

[1] I thought you were in Liverpool. Do I need to meet you there or in London?
[2] Please confirm that Elizerbeth Roy has returned my check or has at least destroyed it.
[3] I would like to see your photograph before I meet you. A photo of you in your dog collar, as previously requested, would be ideal. If you could hold a bone in your mouth, to emphasise the canine impression, that would be superb.

It may not be necessary to fly to the UK, as I am currently in the process or arranging my own barrister. I will give you further details as soon as I can.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Three cheers for the Holy Trinity, Cortya Outson

PS. Please tell me what you would like as a gift.

Dear Emmanuel

Thank you for your lovely email. I am a little surprised that you 'love me so much' when I have never heard of you, or from you, before. Where did you find my email address? I think we should get to know each other a little before we talk of marriage.

My primary concern at the moment is obtaining a bequest from the United Kingdom (I live in Missouri in the USA), which is why I am pleased that you have contacted me, as I need a lawyer. Are you based in the UK?

In early December, I received notification from Fr Raymond Wright, the Parish Priest at the Archdiocese of Liverpool in the UK that the late Dr Papa Ishwards Hotchand Mahtani had left me $950,000 in his will. Fr Wright arranged a barrister for me to organise the legal documentation, but unfortunately the barrister turned out to be a complete fool.

Fr Wright said that he could find another barrister for me at a cost of $2,500 which I sent him, but he said that he could not cash the check. Now he has rather rudely told me to fly to the UK and sort the matter out for myself. As I have no legal training, I would prefer to hire a competent barrister to deal with the legal side of things.

Would you be interested? Obviously I will be a rich girl once I receive the bequest.

I attach a my photo and would love to see a photo of you.

Please reply soon.

Dearest Cortya,

How are you today? Hope fine.

Sweetheart, thanks for that opportunity that you are about to give to me, because it is going to help you and me. I done some research regards to the bequest after I receive your mail and the following are to be provide as thus:-

(1) Certificate of Ownership
(2) Probate Certificate
(3) Letter of Administration
(4) Insurance Form

Darling, congratulation for the bequest giving to you by the late Papa Mathani.

Darling, to tell you the truth I will do anything to the progress of the said will, am currently in Nigeria sitting for a case regards to my client (Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State in Nigeria) who is accused of money laundering in London and as follow is the website about my client:-

http://www.vanguardngr.com/articles/2002/politics/p212122004.html

So sweetheart, I will advice you to do anything humanly possible to make sure that the will is been giving to you ASAP. And again I will be here in Nigeria for up to seven (7) working days before going back to my country, so I will like to act fast, so all the final decision is in your hands for now, so if you want me to do the job for you i.e. traveling to London to acquire the documents needed.

Darling, that will be all for now, looking forward to get your reply.

Kindest regards, Emmanuel (Esq.)

Looks like we're in business!

You still have not told me how you found my email address, or sent me your photo - please do so as soon as possible. I would also like to see some evidence of your legal status, as my experience with the previous barrister has made me rather cautious.

Please advise Fr Raymond Wright that you are now representing me with regard to the bequest - his email address is ***@hotmail.com.

I am a little concerned that I need the legal documents which you mentioned - the previous barrister told me I just needed an Affidavit of Claim Certificate and a Letter of Administration. I already have the Probate form, which still needs to be lodged with the Court - I attach a copy. The Court's email address is ***@yahoo.co.uk. Is this one OK, or will I need a new one signed by you?

It must be fate that our paths have crossed.

Look forward to hearing from you, Cortya Outson

22 December

Dear Mr Godwin

You do not seem to understand me, so I will have to make it even clearer.

You say you do not have any pictures of yourself on your system, but in your email on 17 December (in which you called me 'sweetie' and confessed your love for me) you said: 'PLEASE MAIL ME BACK IF YOU ARE INTERESTING TO MARRY ME SO THAT I CAN SEND YOU MY PIX'. I therefore suggest that you have a further look on your system and send me the 'pix' you promised me without further delay.

As for not disclosing your legal status, you found it necessary to send me a further email on 17 December stating: 'i forgot to let you know am a legal practioner'. Please do not take me for a fool, Mr Godwin - whether you are a common or uncommon lawyer, you will have a business card or some other evidence of your legal standing and I would like to see it immediately. I want to know the 'stuff you are made of' before I part with any money.

You say I cannot pay you, but this is nonsense. I am a director in the family business and I have already sent Fr Wright $2,500 which he chose to refuse. I attach a promotional shot of my company - you will see that paying your fees is not going to be a problem.

The bottom line is this: photograph and business card, or no deal. Don't bother writing back with further excuses - there are plenty of other barristers I can hire. It goes without saying that at the moment, I have no desire to marry you whatsoever. If I have not received these items within the next two days, I shall be dispensing with your services.

If he doesn't come up with the goods, I intend flying to the UK to sort all this out for myself, as you suggested. I am sure that the bank can wait a little longer - after all, no doubt they are earning interest on my money!!!

I would appreciate your photograph and confirmation that my check has been destroyed by return.

I hope you had a very enjoyable Christmas. Now that the festive season is over, we need to get down to the business in hand.

I very much regret that I have had to dispense with the services of Barrister Godwin as I suspect that he did not hold the qualifications that he claimed. It looks as if I will indeed have to travel to the UK myself to sort out the bequest. With that in mind, I intend booking a flight early in January 2006. 29 December

Dear Ray

I am surprised by your email today - the position regarding Barrister Godwin was made clear to you in my email to him on 22 December, a copy of which I sent to you. Perhaps you have been drinking a little too much wine over Christmas and have forgotten? I requested his photograph and a copy of his business card, but he has not supplied them. I did warn him that if he did not provide the requested information, I would have to dispense with his services. I summarise the position below:

On 22 Dec 2005, I advised Barrister Godwin (with a copy sent to yourself):
I therefore suggest that you... send me the 'pix' you promised me without further delay...Please do not take me for a fool, Mr Godwin - whether you are a common or uncommon lawyer, you will have a business card or some other evidence of your legal standing and I would like to see it immediately... If I have not received these items within the next two days, I shall be dispensing with your services.

On 23 Dec 2005, Barrister Godwin replied:
I APPEAL YOU GIVE ME SOME TIME TO EQUIP YOU WITH WHAT YOU WANT.. .IN MY NEXT MAIL I WILL NOT FAIL TO SCAN MY BUSINESS CARD AND MY PICTURE TO YOU...

Also on 23 Dec 2005, I advised Barrister Godwin:
Photograph. Business card. You know the deal. Do not write to me further until you have them.

I have not heard from him since, so therefore I have no option but to let him go - how can I trust a man who makes promises he cannot keep? I resent the implication that I cannot pay his fees - as I have previously advised, I am a director of the family business and I can assure you that payment will not be a problem. I sent Barrister Godwin (and yourself) a promotional shot of my company headquarters and I am sure you will agree that finding $3,000 is not going to be a problem.

I am prepared to give Barrister Godwin a further two days to come up with the goods and if he doesn't, I will be flying to the UK early in the New Year. I have sent him a copy of this email.

I hope the position is now perfectly clear. If it is not, re-read this email when you are sober.

Dear Barrister Godwin

Thank you very much for supplying the documents that I requested - I did not realise that you were so handsome - and a Head of Barristers too! I am very impressed. I am sorry that I had to put you to the inconvenience of scanning these items, but after the experience that I had with Barrister Garfield, I had to be sure that you were competent.

However, although you may be competent, you ARE a little cheeky. In your email to me on 17 December, you said you were 30 years of age, yet your passport clearly shows a date of birth of 20 June 1966 - making you 39 years old... Were you trying to pretend you were younger to win my affections? I would not really expect a Head of Barristers to lie about his age! Perhaps you could explain?

Thank you for your email - Barrister Godwin has now finally sent me his passport and business card - and, guess what?? He has been LYING to me all along. He tried to pretend that he was 30 because he wanted to marry me, but he's actually 39.

I was right! Barrister Godwin IS a liar and I have unfortunately had to dismiss him. How could we trust a man like that? I expect he would inflate his fees just to get money out of both of us.

However, we are now left with the original problem: no Barrister. Do you think that chap Garfield may still be interested? I know he was a buffoon, but at least he did not lie about his age. Or perhaps I should seek another Barrister myself?

Dear

i appreiciates your prompt reply.as you said,he tried to pretend regards to his age because he intends to marry you.You cannot
say that he is untrustworthy because of these, biblically we should always forgive our fellow human beings. As he wants to marry you ,may be he doesnt want the Age gap to be much.Barrister Godwin is a competent lawyer,i advice we pursue our arrangement with him.what you have to do is to negotiate the business terms with him which includes the monetary aspect, pay him and instruct him to carry on .i learnt He is in nigeria now on a court case.i also advice you to hasten up bye instructing him to come over to london to presents those needed documents so that the funds will be paid to you soonext.you can agree with me that there are some judas among us as in the bank managers who can channel the funds for there own personal use,
that is why i advice you to hasten up.ALSO i promise you wont regret any time ,word and money you spent in these. Also i want to inform you that the ministries has given you much time to come and claim the funds.and they are seeing you as someone that is not serious about that.they can convert the funds to carry on any charity works.and their own consumptions.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND GUIDE YOU .TILL I HEAR FROM YOU. FR,RAY.

Dear Barrister Garfield

Do you remember me? We had that slight disagreement a while ago when you signed your name on a legal document, but your signature appeared to be completely different to your name.

Anyway, let bygones be bygones. I have had a worse experience with another Barrister - indeed, a Head of Barristers - named Emmanuel Godwin. Have you heard of him? He operates from Temple Gardens in London, UK. Not only did he write to me and suggest that we get married (even though I had never heard from him before) but he pretended that he was 10 years younger than he was just to trick me into marrying him. I was disgusted.

I wonder if it is within your heart, as a Christian and a Knight of St Columbus, to represent me again with regard to releasing the bequest? Fr Wright is constantly advising me that time is running out and I fear he may be right.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, Timmy - please get back to me as soon as possible. If you feel you cannot represent me after what has happened, I will have to find another Barrister.

Regards, Cortya Outson
